it took me almost an entire year to make this film, one i was so excited to put together when i first started filming it. leaving south africa was a hard, sudden, heart-breaking experience but slowly, the memories have returned + the joy has resurfaced + the healing has begun. a part of my heart will always + forever remain in pietermaritzburg, a place that feels like yesterday but also a hazy dream. dang, this footage means so much to me, + i hope you’re able to see just a little bit of the magic that this trip held. i love you, savannah estate — i’ll see you again one day, south africa!
